Auto Body Shop Controller

A Body Shop Controller is required for Fran’s Crash Repairs which is based in Portlaoise.  This position requires a person with good communication skills and an excellent knowledge of the Motor trade.  The right candidate will need an ability to work well under pressure and have a good rapport with Customers and Staff alike.

Fran’s Crash Repairs was established in 1997 the business grew and in 2005 a purpose build Crash Repair Centre was build in Portlaoise.  This state of the art premises, modern equipment and qualified and experienced Staff resulted in continued success and a name for quality workmanship.

What we are looking for:

• A good knowledge of the Motor Trade and knowledge of panel beating, fitting, spray painting and valenting is an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills
• An  individual who is highly organized and has an excellent planning ability
• The ability to communicate well with Customers and potential Customers and extend our Customer base.
• An excellent level of commercial awareness along with a great sense of business acumen
• An Individual who takes responsibility and leaves nothing to chance.

• Duties: 

• Deals politely and efficiently with Customers
• The ability to estimate & quote on vehicles
• Load workshop
• Manage workshop productivity
• Ensure good housekeeping and security in the workshop
• Ensure the maintenance of health and safety in the workshop
• Keep full and accurate records
• Deal with Sales Reps and suppliers
• Introduce cost saving in relation to overheads and any additional business expenses
• Keep up to date with new technology and ensure Staff is trained.
